Terms of use
The practical rules for using Niblet, from a waitlist signup to a connected display.
Last updated 21 August 2026
The agreement
These terms are between you and Comma Collective Pvt. Ltd., a privately owned company in Singapore that owns and operates Niblet (“Niblet”, “we”, or “us”). They apply to heyniblet.com, Niblet accounts, the dashboard, Niblet Cloud, supported firmware and browser installers, the app catalog, the waitlist, and any early believer reservation we offer together as the “Services”.
By creating an account, making a reservation, connecting a display, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the Privacy notice. If you only browse the public site, the sections that can reasonably apply to browsing still apply.
You must be at least 18, or the age of legal majority where you live, to create an account or enter a paid transaction without a parent or guardian.
The product is still being prepared
Niblet One is in development. Product images may show prototypes or illustrative environments. Final materials, dimensions, specifications, software, regional features, price, launch date, manufacturing schedule, and availability may change before an order opens.
A waitlist entry, dashboard preview, or early believer reservation is not a retail purchase, preorder, Kickstarter pledge, ownership interest, or guarantee that a product will ship on a particular date. A later Kickstarter campaign, store order, warranty, return policy, or shipping notice will have its own terms. If those terms conflict with this page for that transaction, the more specific terms control.
Waitlist and early believer reservation
Joining the ordinary waitlist is free. You must confirm the email address before we treat the signup as complete.
If the optional $1 early believer reservation is enabled, it records your interest in buying one Niblet One at the offered $149 price before taxes and shipping, compared with a planned $199 retail price. The $1 is intended to be credited toward that purchase. It does not reserve physical inventory or promise a delivery date.
You may ask us to cancel an unused reservation before it is applied to a purchase. If we cannot make the offered purchase available, we will cancel the reservation and return the $1 through the original payment method. Bank and payment-processor timing may delay when a refund appears. Mandatory consumer rights in your country still apply.
Accounts and security
Give us accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for protecting your password, device access, and any Google or Apple account you use to sign in. Tell us promptly if you believe an account or display credential has been compromised.
You may not create accounts deceptively, use another person’s account without permission, avoid a suspension, or automate signup or access in a way that burdens the service. We may rate-limit, challenge, suspend, or remove access that is abusive, fraudulent, unauthorized, or a security risk.
You can delete an eligible single-user personal account from the Account page or the mobile app. Deletion ends your right to use its private dashboard and device configuration. Separate waitlist, payment, legal, or fraud-prevention records may be handled as described in the Privacy notice.
Displays, Cloud, and offline playback
Niblet Cloud renders and delivers the app rotation you configure. A supported display keeps verified last-known-good content locally, so a temporary loss of internet or Cloud access does not immediately empty the screen. Offline playback does not refresh live data.
We intend to provide the standard personal Niblet Cloud service and firmware updates without a recurring subscription for the supported life of the display. This does not include unlimited compute, commercial resale, bespoke service levels, or third-party fees. Fair technical limits may apply to request rates, storage, rendering, and misuse so one account cannot degrade the service for everyone.
No online service is uninterrupted. Maintenance, incidents, networks, external APIs, and hardware failures can delay or interrupt screens.
Apps and third-party data
The catalog includes Niblet work, open-source work, community work, and compatibility candidates. A preview or listing does not guarantee release approval, continuous availability, accuracy, fitness for a purpose, or support by the original author. External APIs can change, impose quotas, charge fees, or stop serving data.
You are responsible for app settings and for complying with the terms of any account, API, media, logo, market data, sports data, or other third-party source you connect. Do not use an app to infringe rights, expose another person’s information, break the law, or obtain data you are not allowed to access.
An app or external service may have separate terms and privacy rules. Niblet is not responsible for an outside provider’s content, accuracy, availability, security, or changes, but we may remove or disable an app where compatibility, safety, licensing, or provider rules require it.
Your content and custom apps
You keep ownership of content and custom app source you own. You give Niblet a limited, worldwide permission to host, copy, render, cache, adapt to the display format, and deliver that material only as needed to provide, secure, and improve the Services you use. That permission ends when the material and its remaining service copies are deleted, subject to ordinary cache, backup, legal, and shared open-source limits.
You promise that you have the rights needed for material you upload, configure, publish, or ask us to render. Do not submit malware, secrets in public source, illegal content, personal information you do not have authority to use, or material that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
Feedback about Niblet may be used without restriction or payment, but we will not treat private customer data as public feedback.
Firmware, flashing, and migration
Browser flashing changes software on physical hardware. A power loss, wrong hardware selection, unsupported board, damaged cable, driver issue, or interrupted write can leave a device temporarily unusable and require manual recovery. Read the hardware-specific instructions, save the stated recovery material, and do not disconnect power during a write.
The Tidbyt migration path is independently developed for the supported original Tidbyt Gen 1 hardware. It replaces existing firmware and saved Wi-Fi setup, does not transfer app settings or service credentials, and may affect an original manufacturer warranty. Niblet is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Tidbyt or Tronbyt.
Do not use a browser installer on life-safety, medical, industrial-control, or other equipment where a display or software failure could harm a person or property.
Acceptable use
Do not use the Services to break the law; harm, threaten, or deceive anyone; probe or bypass access controls; distribute malware; scrape private data; overload rendering or network capacity; impersonate Niblet or another person; interfere with another display; or resell the standard personal service without a written agreement.
Security research must avoid customer data, service disruption, persistence, and disclosure before we have had a reasonable chance to investigate. Send a good-faith report to [email protected].
Ownership, licences, and names
Niblet owns or licenses the Services, website design, Niblet names, and Niblet-created material. These terms give you a personal, limited, revocable right to use the hosted Services; they do not transfer ownership of the platform or brand.
Open-source software, community apps, fonts, artwork, and other third-party material remain governed by their own licences and attribution notices. Those licences control where they grant rights that differ from these terms. Compatibility does not grant trademark rights.
Third-party names and marks are used only to identify hardware, source projects, compatibility, or data providers. Their appearance does not imply endorsement or partnership.
Suspension and ending service
You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account, installation, app, or device connection that materially breaches these terms, creates a security or legal risk, infringes rights, or threatens reliable service for others. Where practical, we will give notice and a chance to correct the problem.
We may change or discontinue a feature as the product develops. A permanent end to the standard hosted device service is subject to the public continuity commitments in the unbrickable pledge. Sections that by their nature should continue, including ownership, licences, payment records, disclaimers, and responsibility for misuse, survive termination.
Disclaimers and responsibility
To the extent the law permits, development previews, the public catalog, third-party data, migration tools, and hosted Services are provided “as available”. We do not promise that every app, API, preview, or service will always be accurate, complete, secure, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular purpose.
Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty, remedy, consumer protection, or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude. Where the law permits a limitation, Niblet is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or harm caused by an outside service, unsupported modification, or use contrary to the instructions. Our responsibility for a paid transaction is limited to the amount you paid us for the transaction giving rise to the claim, unless applicable law requires more.
You remain responsible for loss caused by your unlawful use, infringement, intentional abuse, or unauthorized access through credentials you failed to protect.
Changes, notices, and contact
We may update these terms as the product and law change. The date at the top identifies the current version. For a material change affecting an existing account or paid request, we will provide reasonable additional notice before the change takes effect where practical.
Notices may be delivered to the email associated with your account, shown in the dashboard, or posted on the site. You can contact Niblet at [email protected]. Niblet is owned and operated by Comma Collective Pvt. Ltd. in Singapore.
These terms preserve any mandatory rights and courts available to you under applicable consumer law. The commercial warranty and final purchase, shipping, return, and refund terms will be published before Niblet accepts a retail order.
